Frequently Asked Questions

Moore Space

Q.  Will you move the ground unit or semi-trailer to a destination once it is loaded?

A.  We are a "not for hire" carrier and cannot legally move the storage units with items inside.

Q.  What is the difference between a ground unit and a shipping container?

A.   Our ground units are defined as follows:

  • The units are made specifically for the storage industry
  • The units have never been used in the shipping industry
  • Most ground units feature a high-security locking mechanishm
  • All ground units have rodent-proof ventilation

Q.  How do I decide whether to rent a ground unit or semi-trailer?

A.  If you have a need to utilize a loading dock OR the unit must be moved onsite once it is loaded you will require a semi-trailer.  If the unit will be loaded from the ground and will not need to be moved onsite the ground storage unit is the correct choice.

Parts Department

Q.  Can I place orders online?

A.  We do not offer online parts ordering at this time.  You can call one of our toll free phone numbers, fax or email your orders.

Q.  Do you have a parts flyer available for monthly specials?

A.  We have parts flyers available via direct mail, email or fax.

Q.  Do you have parts sales/delivery vehicles that cover my area?

A.  We have 12 parts route sales professionals that cover the State of Wisconsin.  They make deliveries 5 days per week with products ranging from brake shoes, trailer body parts to antifreeze and windshield wiper fluid.  Delivery depends on the size of the order and the space in the delivery vehicle.

Service Department

Q. Do you use brand name or genuine Utility parts for repairs?

A.  All of our repairs are quoted with brand name or genuine Utility body parts.  We will use non-brand name parts for a repair if asked to reduce the cost at the owner's request.  It is our preference to use branded or genuine parts as they typically carry a redeemable warranty if the part fails.

Sales Department

Q.  Are your used trailers sold with warranty?

A.  Our used trailers are sold without warranty.  We offer DOT inspections for a nominal fee.  Late model trailers frequently pass the DOT inspection without any additional repairs.  Older trailers sold for local and regional hauls or for storage may require additional repairs to pass the DOT inspection.

Q.  Are the prices listed on your trailer inventory firm?

A.  The prices posted on our inventory are reflective of the cost we have in the trailer and a profit that will allow us to service our customer after the sale.  These prices may be nogotiable for quantity purchases and primarily if our customer has seen the trailer.
